Lucas Pond/Crossett City Park

Lucas Pond and the Crossett City Park are two places that add to the beauty of our city. Located near Wiggins Cabin and the Crossett High School, the pond and park are nestled in an easily accessible place for visitors of all kinds. With no reservations needed, the City Park has picnic tables and pavilions for parties and gatherings on a first-come-first-serve basis, and a playground for children to enjoy. In walking distance is a breathtaking view of Lucas Pond, the 51 aquatic acre lake with docks for activities like fishing. For visitors wanting to fully take in the beauty of this area, there is a 2.8 mile walking trail around the perimeter of Lucas Pond that has interactive plates highlighting the park’s nature along the path. Boats with electric and battery-operated motors are allowed in the bigger portion of Lucas Pond and are accessible with a boat ramp that is provided.
Centennial Park
Crossett’s Centennial Park, located on Main Street across from City Hall, is a beacon of history for the city. Centennial Park has a covered pavilion, a fountain, and the original fireplace of the once-prominent Rose Inn Hotel. The Park is perfect for photography sessions, festivals, weddings, and a variety of other occasions. The pavilion can be reserved at no charge here(make a clickable link to the reservation system).
Yale Cabins
Yale Cabin Camp operated in partnership with Yale University and the Crossett Company from 1946 until 1966 housing students from across the world enlisted in Yale University’s forestry school. These cabins include bunk house living quarters, an instructional area, and dining room/mess hall. Previously located east of Crossett on Highway 82, The Yale Cabins have since been relocated adjacent to the Crossett City Park.
Wiggins Cabin

Built in the 1830s, Wiggins Cabin was previously the oldest standing structure in Ashley County until a tragic fire in 2002. Citizens of Crossett helped rebuild the wooden cabin, and an exact replica stands in its place today. The Wiggins Cabin Festival is held yearly on the grounds and includes a 5k run, a pageant, a concert, and a plethora of vendor opportunities. This historical landmark is nestled beside Lucas Pond and the Crossett City Park.
The recently renovated Crossett City Pool is a perfect chance for family and friends to beat the summer heat! The pool boasts a zero entry pool deck for ease of entry, diving board, and as a spiral slide for added enjoyment. With aquatic Zumba classes, teen nights, private lessons, and party bookings available, there are many opportunities to take advantage of this amenity! The City pool has public swim hours from 1pm-6pm Monday through Sunday. Contact 870-364-3431 for more information!
Conveniently located near the City Pool, tennis courts, and City Auditorium, the Crossett Farmer’s Market on Main Street is a perfect place for local farmers to sell their produce! The Farmer’s Market is covered for comfort on hot days and provides users with vegetable bins, water, electrical outlets, and restrooms for use. The space is available year-round from Monday through Saturday and doesn’t require a fee to set up.
There are some items that cannot be sold at a farmers’ market and some that have to have permits. Please take a look if you are a vendor.
Crossett City Auditorium
The Crossett City Auditorium is centrally located on Main Street, adjacent to the City Pool and Tennis Courts. The City Auditorium seats approximately 1,000 people and is available for concerts, recitals, and other performances or events throughout the year. It is available to rent for events by calling city hall at 870-415-9345.
Scott McCormick Sports Complex

The Scott McCormick Sports Complex is an impressive facility named after the late Mayor of Crossett, Scott McCormick. The complex has five fields for baseball and softball, along with six soccer fields. Little League baseball and softball tournaments are held at this location. The fields at the Scott McCormick Sports Complex are available for rent and users are responsible for bringing their own sporting equipment. Crossett is also home to three practice fields: the Maple Street Ballpark, Texmoore Ballpark on Parkway, and the Clemmie Wimberly Ballpark on 6th Street. Nestled in the Felsenthal Wildlife Refuge, the Crossett RV Park has over 100 campsites available for use. All RV pads are equipped with water and electrical services. Additional amenities included walking trails, playgrounds, picnic tables, bathhouses, and covered boat docks for rent. A Park Manager is available for duty 24 hours per day. Airport
The Z.M. Jack Stell Field is a general aviation airport located five miles north of Crossett. The airport is equipped with one runway for landing and takeoff, a pilot lounge for comfort, and has access to a courtesy car. Jet fuel and avgas are available for purchase at the market rate. E.C. Crossett Youth Center
Recently appointed to the National Register of Historical Places, the E.C. Crossett Youth Center is a historical landmark that has impacted the lives of many in our city. The center was opened in 1961 thanks to a donation by Mrs. Elizabeth R. Crossett in honor of her late husband and former Crossett Company Chairman E.C. Crossett. With remodeling enhancements in progress, the Youth Center Boards intends to begin an afterschool program to serve and support the youth in our community. With a playground, basketball court, and pavilion for outside recreation, the Crossett Youth Center is a great place to host any youth centered event. Located on South Main Street, the Crossett City Library is open to the public from 9am-6:30 pm Monday through Friday with the exception of a 5:30pm close on Wednesdays, and from 9am-3pm on Saturdays. The 16,000 square-foot facility has a plethora of books available across all genres along with reading and study areas. The Crossett Library also has a community room that is available for meetings, parties and other events. The community room requires a $75 refundable deposit and is $25 per room. Additional services available at the Crossett Library include printing, faxing, 3D printing, children’s storytime and summer reading, local history, and genealogy resources. Port
The Crossett Port is located off of Highway 82 in West Crossett, right on the Ouachita River. The port has a 9 foot navigation channel, a four barge towing system, and a 30,000 square foot turning basin. There are ten acres of outdoor storage, a docking peer, and a 15,000 square foot warehouse available for lease on site. The port is 475 miles from the Port of New Orleans and takes two days to arrive at its destination. Contact Crossett Economic Development at 870-364-8745 for information on barge transportation.
Veterans Park
Nestled adjacent to our City Park and Lucas Pond Lake sits our Crossett Veterans park. This fenced in park hosts playground equipment, bathrooms, benches and picnic tables for all to enjoy.
